A pack of wild dogs is observed in the surrealist setting of the temple ruins in Sukhothai. Bloated with testosterone, their lips curled menacingly, these beasts live in a pack that is organised into a strict hierarchy. As long as all members respect the law of the jungle, the situation is safe. In 2003, Ton van Zantvoort travelled together with Giel van Schaijk to Southeast Asia to make a series of shorts. Significant in these works is the gaze of the filmmakers: to see and consciously experience the things that happen around them. This film is about alienation from, and contrasts in, our reality.
